A major rapidly growing consultancy has a vacancy for a Infrastructure technician. Executing and completing projects under the direction of the Project Manager. Producing drawings and details of roads and drainage using AutoCAD. Providing technical support. Completing work in accordance with Quality Assurance and Health and Safety requirements. AutoCAD expertise.Good computer skills. Participate with project reviews and consultations.Desire to learn Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994. Appropriate industry qualifications: HND with 2 years minimum experience. AutoCAD skills to be tested at interview. Ability to produce detailed drawings with nominal supervision using AutoCAD. Desire to learn how to produce detailed design with nominal supervision using 3D highway design packages (i.e. MOSS or PDS). Desire to learn how to produce drainage design with nominal supervision using hand calculations and drainage design packages (i.e. Micro Drainage, Wallrus). Ability to communicate effectively.To be a team worker. Able to manage Client expectations and deal with Client queries in the absence of the Project Leader. Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Seeks to build effective relationships within teams, across the organisation and externally. Understands the perspective of others and takes this into account in developing relationships. Seeks to manage conflict and is self-aware. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team in Abingdon to produce computer aided design drawings on infrastructure projects.other design of roads using 3D computer modelling packages. Able to produce accurate AutoCAD drawings in accordance with the Scott Wilson Computer Aided Design Manual. Able to undertake utility searches. Able to assist in production of tender documentation and specifications for construction contracts using a variety of forms of contract. Desire to undertake work on construction sites and provide hands on support to other teams, i.e. survey and geotechnics.Able to assist with the role of the Designer as required by the
